I really liked the original handlebar brackets for Kirtland front bags. It was very easy to take on and off the bike and you didn't need elastic bungees going down to the fork dropout eyelets. There was also a handlebar waterbottle cage that mounted in a similar manner that was also easy to swap on and off as needed.
