hmm.. I have to check to see if I have been hoping of by levering off the 
seat as you describe.. probably I do.  But I solved my problem by lowering 
my handlebars which are wide and constricting and leveling my saddle with 
the spanner wrench The saddle was dreadfully saggy and tilted upwards as 
well.  Life is easier now and its a slide off the seat rather digging 
myself out of a sling
