Hi John, I was looking through this thread with interest and don’t intend to speak for Tom but as an owner of a pair of the exact same model of repurposed military surplus bags I thought I’d try to help answer your question. They are from Jeff Potter of OYB(Out Your Backdoor) and were made from Swiss medic bags. I use them often and they are perfect for small loads... a dozen eggs just barely fit in the bottom with a little effort for example, I’ve fit two dozen in cardboard cases though fit was a little too tight. One currently holds a roll-up, diaper bag/changing pad when riding with my son. Jeff offered them with varying sized rack clips made to order so maybe Tom could verify rack compatibility but mine fit great as low riders on a Surly Front rack
