I've been using Molten Speed Wax for the last 12-18 months, after having used paraffin and, later, various dry lubes -- forget names; Pro Link was one.
The MSW keeps the squeaking away longer than paraffin, but keeps the outside of the chain cleaner (important in sandy, dusty conditions).
