I remember when Specialized did the retro-versary reissues of the Stumpjumper and the Allez. Or the Paramount 50th. Or De Rosa, Merckx, Harley Davidson (the bicycle, not the motorbike) the list goes on. Retro can be fun, but keep in mind not everything designed to be a collectible ends up a collectible, and few of those retro-versary models will ever be ridden. That's a shame. Personally, I like the idea that RBW would do a new bike that represents everything they've learned so far - just like they always have. I love my 6-year Anniversary All Rounder! One thing is for certain: I will design a special anniversary head-badge poster at some point during the year. I think all I need is the Gus-badge and whatever the 25th edition will be to be up to date. Unless of course they come out with other new models between now and the end of the year, which is not out of the question given their history. I suspect Grant only shares with us what's a little way up his sleeve. Can't wait to see what's further up.
