Jonathan and John wanted a comparison between the Hillborne and Roadini. The Roadini is a really good pure road bike. It’s perfect with 32mm tires without fenders, 28mm tires with fenders. The Hillborne is ideal with 38mm tires, with or without fenders. I’ve run it with 43mm BG Rock and Roads and with 38mm Steilacooms on trails. The Roadini is maybe easier to set up because it’s got 130mm spacing, so you could use ‘road wheels’ you have laying around. The Hillborne is 135mm in back. There’s no question the Hillborne is the more versatile bike. There’s no question the Roadini is the better dollar for dollar value at 2/3rds the price. Both are very worthwhile bikes. Buy the one you want. One of each is the smartest choice.
