The two Rivendell models that I most covet are the Atlantis and the
Hunqapillar. When I was considered buying my first Riv I found a review on
the Atlantis that Benedict had done along with Bikepacking.com. For those
who may remember this spread it featured photos of him making coffee
outside alongside this gorgeous Atlantis. My exposure to that review really
finally convinced me to sell off my carbon unitasker bikes in favor of a
lugged steel bag toting machine that could carry me and my stuff off into
the wilderness. I balked at the price of a MUSA Atlantis and decided on a
complete Sam as my gateway into Riv. I have since purchased a Appaloosa as
my second Riv to serve as my touring rig. I love the Appaloosa but
sometimes wish I waited just a little longer until the MIT Atlantis became
available. It wouldn't make any sense for me to replace my Appaloosa with
the Atlantis now because they do exactly the same thing. I have nothing
against 2TT's but I do like the appearance of the truss style 2TT on the
Atlantis slightly better than the Joe. I am hoping that Rivendell also
decides to do a MIT Hunq at some point.
