Keep in mind, Patrick, that the large saddlesack (or the current evolution of it, the BaggaBond, https://www.rivbike.com/collections/bags/products/sackville-bagabond) allows the carrying of at least the same volume again via strapping things on top. Irish Straps and Shopsacks are excelent for this, and can strap on top. Pack wisely, heavy items down low, lighter items up high.
