Maxxis ReFuse 650bx50 is a big file tread and seems to be liked by a lot of people. It's not too fragile but doesn't feel slow. It also is easy to deal with for tubeless. The Schwalbe Thunder Burt is known to be a very fast feeling tire, much faster on pavement than it looks.
