I'm thankful for Grant/Riv teaching me about leather saddles and riding without clingy Lycra padded shorts. A Brooks B17, wool underwear and baggy MUSA shorts/pants completely changed/improved how I ride my bike, as well as becoming my defacto uniform off the bike, too. This includes Pletscher t-shirts, which I've blown through three of..I wish they would make more.
Also flat step-on pedals in regular shoes.
