Framesaver-ing a built up bike is hard since access to the tubes (those vent holes really won't do it) is obstructed and used to risk contamination of BB and HS bearings (back when they were cup and ball) if left in place. You do have to get the straw into the stays, top tube and head tube to spray. Dropping the fork, pulling the seat post and removing the BB open that access.
The nice part about cartridge bearing BBs and HSs is that doing these three things to permit spraying your frame's insides isn't as complicated as it was back during the cup and loose ball paradigm. If you have an LBS you trust, perhaps they would help in the process.
