Joe, There is only one thread pitch for M6 bolts. You can use the too long bolt you have as long as it doesn't cause any other problems, like getting caught on you clothes. The bolt on my Atlantis is 22mm, which I'd bet works for just about every Riv ever and is available at every bike shop ever.
