Tully: Regarding puncture protection: once again, Orange Seal, with a
couple of spare tubes with sealant for bigger holes that the sealant won't
fix (I carry the extra sealant inside the extra tubes; others carry the
sealant in a bottle).

I ride 559 X 27/29 mm (rims: 19 mm/23 mm exterior width) 178 gram Elk Pass
extralights on firm dirt and gravel here in goatheadland, thanks to
sealants -- these are paper thin tires.
