I'm putting this out there for a potential even swap, bar for bar? I originally picked up the RM014 52cm after previously using and liking the RM013 48cm on a different bike and wanted a similar bar, just a little wider, but needed 31.8 for use on a newer bike with a threadless headset and already had a handful of 31.8 stems available.
Turns out the RM014 is VERY different than the RM013 and it wasn't until after receiving the bar that I realized this and only later stumbled onto the following biketouringnews article which highlights the differences: http://biketouringnews.com/components-touring-bicycles/cockpit/touring-bike-handlebars/nitto-dirt-drop-handlebars/ I later tried the RM014 with VO Cigne LD stem and although the combo worked pretty well I still missed the wider and more traditional ramp/hood position on my road oriented single speed so it wasn't long before I removed them. I have no other immediate plans for a dedicated dirt drop bike and recently sold the VO stem so I'm now ready to pass along the RM014. Wondering if anyone out there is in need of a 31.8 dirt drop bar and holding a 52cm wide RM013 (either 26.0 or 25.4 clamp) and interested in an even trade? or widest 48cm Noodle? I'm also open to other alternatives such as: Nitto RM-3 (which I think has a wider ramp and shallower drop than RM014, if I understand correctly?) Albastache Salsa Cowbell/Cowchipper or something similar with flattish ramps and flare? I also have a 44cm Giant branded 31.8 alloy drop bar with no flare available for consideration. I picked it up from a friend who did a flat bar conversion on their CX bike but the shape of the drops just didn't work for me. This was actually the first bar I tried on the single speed and still have it around. Just mentioning this one in case anyone out there with a flared drop happens to prefer no flare but needs 31.8 and would be interested. I'm always open to other interesting trade offers... quality/unique stems, bags/accessories/, other parts, etc... PLEASE NOTE: I'm only looking for trades right now where we'd just cover our own shipping... I have no funds or budget to otherwise purchase anything outright or offer cash for higher value trade items at this time. If nothing surfaces I may eventually list the bars for sale with a few other spare parts but not there yet and still sorting things out and reviewing my stash. My need for the requested bars is LOW priority and just something I've considered, so please don't respond to offer a bar for sale unless you have some kind of trade in mind.
