And one other note: You can use sealant in tubes, too. The Elk Pass and the (non-Compass) Parigi Roubaix (I had the original model) are both paper thin but work fine in this goathead capital of the world with Orange Seal (I ride the Elk Passes on dirt).
This avoids any concern about pressure, and it also lets you use otherwise impossible tires around goatheads (when I first rode the P-Rs, I got, literally, 5 flats in the first 5 miles). FWIW again, to forestall questions or mistakes, I find that sealant in tubes works at sufficiently high pressures but not at very low pressures, so I run my 60+ mm Big Ones tubeless. I'd guess that the cutoff point is somewhere in the 30-40 psi range.
