Since we're all wishing & guessing, I'll play. My expectation would be for the MTB to be evolutionary from the Clem & not revolutionary. The elders on the list may remember that the rigid MTBs of the 80s/early 90s got tons of people out riding who just wanted a fun bike & were turned off by the racing ethos. Lots of early MTBs never saw dirt but got street tires, racks, etc., & turned into commuter / around town / touring bikes. So the new Rivendell MTB may be a return to that type of bike, updated with current thinking on geometry, tires, handlebars, etc.
