For instance a 60cm cross check has a headtube (not counting the extension above the TT) that looks about the same length as a 57cm classic 80's road bike, but that's because the cross check has an axle-to-crown distance of like 400mm. Same thing would be true of the Quickbeam since it has similar tire clearance, except it has a 2' upslope to the tt which cancels that out and makes the HT look normal for the size again.
