I have 43mm fluted Honjos that are covering Jack Browns. The fit is quite tight but I haven't had any rubbing or snagging issues in hundreds of miles of riding, even that time when I went trail-riding on the way up to Mt. Hamilton with a small bunch from this list. (On the other hand, I also have Planet Bike 60mm Cascadia fenders covering 26x1.6 Continentals (really only 37mm wide) on my Surly.
