I did a double take when I saw the lead photo *Cycling News* ran for a tech gallery feature of this year's TdF machines:

According to the VN article below, it can actually save you a watt or two when you are pushing 250 watts! No wonder my Trekendell, running Altus big wheels, is going so fast! I bought one from Riv a while back, right now it resides on my son's bike. Had to go elsewhere for the black edition for my Trek conversion. The pro version shown in the CN gallery is slightly more expensive that the $28 Altus, but, you know, it's special, and better! Plus, you'll appreciate it more if you pay more! And really, what's $500 when your bike cost 9 Gs? Velonews even ran a whole ad--I mean article--about the system and the company that makes it, CeramicSpeed. Grant has been extolling the virtues of larger pulleys for some time now. I guess it's a case of "Just Ride" working it's way up into the pro peloton. Funny, I did recently hear a rumor that MovieStar riders had been spotted riding with Albastache bars at an undisclosed location just before the tour. Stay tuned for the final TT... https://www.velonews.com/2018/07/bikes-and-tech/tour-de-france-pros-are-using-oversize-rear-derailleur-pulleys-should-you_472956 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
