Keven told me today that $3000 was the winning price, and he called it a 'screaming deal'. So I think he was a little disappointed. But this final price doesn't surprise me all that much. I was hoping to be surprised. Maybe Riv should have offered more OOAK (one of a kind) content: give the bike a name, immortalize it in the Reader, open a flickr group for dream bikes, or have Keven sign the bike. Stuff that none of us can buy at any price so the person who subjugates his/her choices to Keven gets some extra stuff that is free yet priceless. Maybe I'm naive in thinking this. Maybe we all just want a deal, regardless of what the original price is.
