Thank you, Everyone. We put on the miles in Minneapolis. I’d do most anything
to pick up and move there so I could ride every mile of their famous bike
highways while their 10,000 lakes whiz by. Minnesota Nice is a phenomenon;
rarely is there honking, no one seems impatient, everyone has time to stop and
chat. It’s a garden city, that Minneapolis. I could spend every day with my
sister and her husband (I suppose we’d no longer have use for friends)
exploring that city, and every evening have cocktails, hand-crafted by my
brother in law, which we would sip between gales of laughter - well, this is
the stuff dreams are made of. How can I get my husband on board?

After my husband flew home to work, my sister took over his Clem. She tucked
away that Biria of hers and never looked at it again until I left and she rode
it to work. She says her bike feels foreign to her now, and she’s making plans
to order her own Rivendell. Cheviot or Clem L, that is the question!

I’m still in MN, only now in in-law territory. My MIL sustained a traumatic
brain injury 2 years ago and has never been the same. She seems to have
developed dementia and some psych issues, necessitating a move to assisted
living at the young age of 68. I’m here to take some of the burden away from my
sister in law as our family navigates our new normal. It’s not going well. But
always there are God’s mercies. There are bike trails here, and in free
moments, I’ve been whisking the kids and their cousins away for rides to the
parks and ice cream shop. I love Minnesota!!!
