I went through similar choices when building out my Roadeo Adding more data points, my Jack brown measure in at 34.5 mm or so with my digital calipers that seem to measure everything else just fine. Also, all my other Schwallbe tires have measured spot on to the molded xx-622 dimension on the side of the tire when mounted on a variety of rims: Dyad, matrix, rinolite etc.
Ventura, where i ride seems to be coated with broken bottles to protect the pavement from premature wear. That combined with my tire fettish, and I am always on the lookout for something that rolls like a Grand Bois, but with the iron clad toughness of my schwalbes. And, yess I have plowed straight through piles of glass with the JB Greens and they still are holding air. Also, I have had passellas and all sorts of other tires and have found nothing that handles as well as the "round as a soap bubble" Jack Browns for me.
