I've received only 1 built bike from Rivendell, and that was a former floor model, but it was impeccably assembled; in particular, the IRD cantis were set up so that they were the best brakes I've ever used (I've not used hydraulic disks) in power, modulation, and feel, bar none.
My frames at least from Riv had all been frame savered. But surely, it shouldn't be hard to see if it has been properly assembled and lubed?
