In my quest to create a minimalist (including foot shaped) cycling shoe for use
with toeclips, I have found that a stiff, thick leather combined with a thin
plastic bit works quite well, but am curious if there is better material
(nylon/fiberglass and carbon shanks get mentioned as midsoles).

Anyone have a bead on sourcing a few sheets of something I could make into
inserts?

With abandon,
Patrick
