I spotted a double tt Appaloosa, a green Hunq, a fawn-colored Hilsen.
Honorable mention to a silver Heron. Sorry, no pics, I don't do the smart
phone thing and it was way too wet and muddy for a camera. The ride,
sponsored by a local brewer, was spectacular and challenging; a riding
buddy said the ride narrative was awesome. Sounds maybe a little
pretentious, but I know what he meant. Incredible vistas, beautiful dirt
roads, challenging single track, mud, rain, a bit of sun, and moocho
climbing--advertised as 6,000 feet in 67 miles, something like that. Great
food, too, and a laid back friendly vibe. A++. I did not have a Rivendell,
but my at least 10-year old Baggins performed admirably, as did my Riv
waterbottles and my Newbaum's tape (which will need to be replaced.)
