Great photos, Matt. I live in Santa Monica and use my Hillborne on the fire roads. My Rambouillet lives in the Owens Valley / Long Valley and stays mostly on the road.
Keith -- I agree that we are spoiled in California. Even last year when the ski mountain got 45 feet of snow, there were plenty of days when my family went skiing while I went biking. This year there was less snow. Still plenty of snow for skiing, but the riding all winter was quite good. <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vfuC3FW2VuQ/Wv2S_toS7hI/AAAAAAAApDQ/MKLd2psIqxcjktwCrWShwW2_SQgR95bnwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0062%2B%25281%2529.jpg> Upper Owens River (riv content = good trout fishing) <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-q3qbe372hwk/Wv2TNUUdupI/AAAAAAAApDY/BWknZAr92hEdWzPR7r-adycf5bnavrtJgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0033%2B%25281%2529.jpg>Ram with Mammoth Mountain in the distance <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LmVTIiUU7O0/Wv2TRpCU0UI/AAAAAAAApDg/w3DnfETy_JcFgPESqSqOChLn8nfosPdnwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0037%2B%25281%2529.jpg>Ram at terminus of Crowley Lake, the dam above Owens River Gorge On Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 7:24:02 AM UTC+3, Matt wrote: > > In 2003 the only bike I owned was a mid-70s 3-speed Raleigh Sport that I > rode to work every day and locked up on the street.
