Thanks, guys! I found an old pair of horse hide running sandals that were glued to a thin rubber sole. Remove the straps and instant stiffish insert. Did a wee ride, enough for proof of concept. Tried with the Sylvan pedals. Feel much improved. I’ll likely ride these for now while puzzling out with my leather lad and lass how to do a lighter, all(ish) leather insert, hopefully a bit stiffer. Meanroad, I’ll keep testing these out.
