I recall when Riv sold v-brakes in the past.... and they passed on and
disappeared until recently with the Clem and mega long chainstays and 60mm
tires.

I wanted to try them way back when but the cable pull issue killed it for me. I
ride with reverse levers and no one makes them for v's. Travel agents to me
seem like a bad idea the way they bend cables.

I also find long mtb pads to be overkill and they don't clear frames. On my
post canti pads I cut off the ends of kool-stop pads to make them road size.

I'm so familiar with canti brakes setting them up, regardless of the style to
me is an "art" in that it's all intuitive, it just happens. Such is Life 😀.

Myself I would contact Riv regarding questions such as "where's the cable
stops"... I'm sure they be happy to share and chat. Riv may have their
preferences as we all do, but they are preferences and no more or less, not
dictations. Universality is the Way of Life.

The Sam page does send a mixed message as the pics show some frames with a
front stop, some without. It is something that could be added to the print to
state specifically that if you use canti, you'll need cable stops like "these",
and have them hyperlinked.
