Congrats on the bike! Glad you're giving it a chance to show its "burly" side.
You can try torque-ing down the saddle clamp bolt to prevent it from shifting. But, any two-bolt seatpost will clamp more securely than the Nitto S65 Crystal Fellow (or clone) you're using. The Nitto S83 or lugged S84 are the Riv-supplied solutions. I also see two-bolt posts in silver from Ritchey, Deda, and others. I like the clamp head on Thomson posts, but they only come in straight (not enough setback with a Brooks) or angled (proper setback, weird looks). Soma's Zero post has the same problem (lack of setback).
