I have to say that it does look very nice -- that frame is, in fact, one of the best proportioned that I've seen; the curved lower tt is perfect -- aesthetically.
But man, I have to say that adding a second tt to an already stout frame in a medium size just makes me cringe, philosophically: I rather regret the old, more utilitarian Rivendell ethic. I'd buy a single tt Atlantis in a minute if I had more money, more room, more time, and less conscience (must maintain a just ratio between actual miles and number of bikes, y'know), but not that one, even if it looks -- I admit it -- even better than the original. I recall Plato saying somewhere that the basic geometrical shapes straight and curved lines, the more primary polygons and 3-d shapes, have an absolute beauty; and I really think this frame caught something just right, aesthetically (I wonder if it would look as good in a 50 or 64). I'd hang it on my wall. But I don't want an unnecessary tube! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
