The bar gets my vote, totally sold on my Map bars. fwiw, I liked the Riv's own Mary bar simile - I think they needed one after all the U-shaped bars they've offered for so long. If you want to sit bolt upright, a U-shaped bar is probably what you want, but if you want a bit more aggressive riding posture, this looks like it - without going all the way to a straight bar. I've never understood wide straight bars - hands just aren't shaped like that. . Comparing Jitensha with Map, the longer ends on the sweep are what make the Map bar nice. Looks like Riv Wavie has the same sweep of the Map bar with an extra cm added to the center straight section.
