Valve stem nuts are a great idea! Comparing stem nuts to the M5 washers I got, I did notice the washers are smaller in both outside and inside diameter. But, for the Sam's bosses anyway, the inside diameter of the stem nuts I have are appear to be small enough to still have enough contact with the flats of the bosses. Thanks everyone.
