A couple of things that have helped me in the past with slightly small posts: Use no-slip instead of grease or use very VERY little grease, especially where the seatpost clamp is. On one post that wouldn't stop slipping no matter what I put a piece of clear vinyl framesaver/helicopter tape where the seat post was clamped. I quit slipping and also made it easier to tell if it slipped a little. I used a piece that was about 3" vertically, 1-2" wide.
