John, there is no risk or down side to a Quickbeam. No matter what happens, you will have a blast and learn and be pushed and coached in ways you had no idea were possible until you put the bike in charge of your riding. You will enjoy riding more because of it and be a better rider for it. Worst case scenario is that you decide all that isn’t for you, but too late! You’ll already have tried it, learned, and that will always be with you. Grin.
