Thanks, Philip! I broke down and put my Nitto rear rack on today cuz, well, it was there, and I have bags for it. It kinda defeats the stripped-down vibe I was going for, but it sure was helpful for a shopping run today.
I can't say enough about the 2-speed setup. I'm a notoriously lazy rider, and have a bad habit of downshifting at the first hint of hill or wind. With this I just grind out the big ring without a thought of gearing or effort until it becomes painfully obvious that I need to grab that granny.
