At one point I debated trying a Crust Clydesdale cargo fork on the front of 
my Clem H.  Crust had released a 1" threadless version with long enough 
steerer for 700c Clems and some of my other big 1" frames.  My wallet said 
otherwise and I think they've since sold out but fork length and HTA 
indicate it should work.
