That is exactly what I use my Clem for. Here's a picture of the most recent
configuration, with Jones loop bars, taken on my go-to MTB ride, the Foresthill
Divide Loop in Auburn, CA:

I've ridden the same loop on all types of hardtail and full suspension bikes
and still have plenty of fun in the Clem. It's the best climbing off road bike
I've ridden, thanks to the long chainstays. You can just sit there and spin up
the steep stuff and your front wheel stays planted. On the descents it's
stable, and although being rigid you get knocked around more than you would on
a bike with suspension, the upright position helps you stay loose and absorb
stuff with you arms and legs, and the wheelbase keeps you going where you want.
No problem going around tight/steep switchbacks, though I find it easier with
bars closer to 45 degree sweep (like the Jones) than with bars that come
straight back like the Bosco.

If you click around my Instagram you can see a few of the different
configurations I've used. Happy to answer any more questions of you have them.
