About the Fly Pedals: I tried another version, also all aluminum, but with blunt teeth that were meant to give you more grip. 2 problems: 1, the teeth did not grip the vibram soles of boat shoes, and my feet slid all over -- I was more secure wearing boat shoes to pedal on my M540s. 2, removing the damned things when you wanted to wear mtb shoes was a pain; I had to use channel locks if I didn't want to mess with retention spring force. I think the M324s are the best solution for dual-type shoe riding -- they felt more secure in boat shoes than the A530s.
