Daniel: my Roadini came with a seat post, as it seems others did. I was 
surprised to see the seatpost in there when I opened up the box. I thought I 
read in one of Grant’s posts that seatposts would not be included. Maybe they 
only had a certain amount.

Regarding tire clearance on the Roadini: I have found that 38 Compass Barlow 
Passes fit with a big BUT: you have to use a Paul Racer Medium brake on the 
front. And no fenders. Clearances are very good though.

I did have a BMC Road in the past and it was very nice indeed, but I agree with 
others that have suggested that it’s geo is more race geo oriented with shorter 
chainstays made it not quite as long haul comfortable and not as easy to get my 
position as upright as my 50’s body requires.
