IME, which is considerable with 9 speed chains, good quality 3/32 cogs, fixed or free, work fine with 9 speed chains My much less extensive but still real experience with 10 speed chains says that such cogs will even work with 10 speed chains. So, question: are you sure your cog is not 1/8?
