I have both a Sackville XS and an old Banana. Both are excellent.
Determining volume of the Banana is tricky, but IMO it holds a bit more
than the Sackville. Specifically, I can get my Abus cable lock (the one
Riv sells) fully within the Banana with room for lots of other stuff.
Also, the Banana is capable of some expansion via raising the flap and
securing at a higher level. On the other hand, the XS is very trim-looking
on the bike, super easy to access because of the rear zipper. They both
hold more than you'd think they would. Some of the pix show the Banana
mounted such that the opening faces pretty much rearward. I prefer mine
mounted more upright, and that is possible if you experiment with placement
of the mounting straps. I've thought of the Sackville XS as my Summer bag,
when I won't need to stash a jacket in there; Banana as Fall: discard
clothing items and carry them within. Hope this helps, Steve
