Hi Bob, Although I don’t think I have 100% exactly what you are looking for I thought I’d put this out there in the event no other trades materialize... I have a Nitto Rm013 48cm bar with 100mm dirt drop stem... not sure the exact effective reach of the dirt drop stem but it’s quite a bit less than 100 due to the high rise and angle. It is currently set with tektro TRP RRL levers although I’d honestly be a little embarrassed offering it with the current tape with mix n match pieces of used leather and cotton tape... and it’s on a single speed right now so no shifters.
I mention this only because i too have exhausted my bike budget but I’ve been wanting to compare an Albastache to my original moustache bar and although I love the RM013 bar and would ideally want to keep the stem I think I’d prefer the even wider 52cm version anyway and if another pending trade works out a few frames will play musical bars/stems and my RM013’s will likely be odd man out this time. These are shaped more like traditional drop bars up through the ramps and top of drops then only flare out at the ends (more flare than the noodle but not as much as other dirt drops) and just lack the back sweep of the top of the noodle. Bike touring news has a nice comparison showing the noodle vs RM013 (read down for the noodle appearance) http://biketouringnews.com/components-touring-bicycles/cockpit/touring-bike-handlebars/nitto-dirt-drop-handlebars/ I wasn’t quite sure about width when initially getting these so I went with the 48cm middle size which puts the ramps/brakes about 43/44cm and 48cm at ends. So if nothing else comes up and you are still itching to try drops and think you could easily pull the bar ends off your albastache I may have these available and could take off the crummy old tape and supply new rolls so you only need to add your shifters and tape to your liking. If not I may very well offer these as a future bar for bar swap. Brian Cole Lawrenceville NJ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
