And people who use V brakes don't have fenders that need support at the
brake bridge? I wasn't aware of that. I've several
cantileverbrake-equipped bicycles (they don't need brake bridges either)
that have fenders mounted.

Verified with Riv that all cantilever models are now 28.6. They don't
put rear brake bridges on anymore because enough people are using
V-brakes, which is what i'll be doing.
