Lucky you! I rode once or twice from my mother's house in Rio Rancho to the city's westernmost Costco, because you could take a bike lane on what is indeed one of those 4 lane arteries, but it has bike lanes, but even that involved intersections of 2 such arteries, and a half mile on a sidewalk along a 3d. But from my house, south and a bit east, there's even less accommodation for bicycles, which is annoying since my daughter now has my car more than 6 days out of 7. (That's a ratio.)
