When I lived in North Hollywood that area was my normal riding area. There are lots of options to go over the hill to Hollywood and vice versa. On the Valley side there is a great fire road-dirt but hard pack-from Laurel Canyon to the top of the ridge at Mulholland and Coldwater. There is also a trail called White Fence that gets you there from Studio City about half way up the fire road. At the top of the ridge you dip down to Beverly Hills and then loop around Benedict. In the old days-80s-There was a great fire road from the bottom of the canyon to the top of Coldwater-ruined by development-and a terrific playground to the west on the old golf course now taken up with multi million dollar homes.
