Wonderful old website devoted to off road fixed gearing. I tried it and, while uphills and flats were fine at 60 or 63 gi, downhills were horrible, despairing sisyphusian hells with 175s. But still, much of interest, like converting a KHS track bike to 559 X 2" with drum front.
