I added a ziptie to keep the cable out of the way. The one thing I do like is having the light mounted to the front center of the bike. I've never quite understood the virtue of mounting it to the right of the front wheel. On another bike I have where I have a lamp mounted to the right of the front wheel there is a lot of light reflected off of the front rim back up at me. I understand the hub connector is on the right side of the bike but there's enough cable to get over to the left, why aren't more lights on bikes mounted to the left?
