I'm a fan of the Devolds and have several pairs. I tend to use them for travel since you can get away with fewer pairs. Hand wash or in a machine (if available) using Kookaburra wool wash. Helps that they dry quickly.
The fabric is thin and as others have noted they are a bit higher maintenance but I feel it's worth the effort. Try a pair and see what you think. And like Joe says, do size up which I believe Riv recommends in their product description.
