The first week in October, I'm contemplating a ride from Lake Champlain to Brunswick or Portland, ME (on a Rivendell). Has anybody toured in Vermont and NH lately? I'm wondering about an ideal route, seeking mainly to avoid traffic. I know that google is my friend, but there's such an abundance of information that I was hoping a Rivendell rider had recent tour experience to share.
