I finally, after 18 months, and a recent repeating puncture on the rear, replaced the original Stan's-ified tubes with new tubes containing Orange Seal.
The tires have 3353 miles on them, and the rear is perhaps 1/2, perhaps a wee bit more, worn, while the front is 1/4 worn, if that. Pretty damned good for tires that weigh about 175 grams and get ridden occasionally on dirt and gravel! Jan really hit the best spot for ride and durability! In other news: the F Fred that has been on the rear of my Matthew and on the rear of the Fargo before it, has 2607 miles on it, and is a bit over 1/2 worn -- and this is a tire that, for its size, is even lighter than the Elk Pass and gets a lot more rough ground.
